A.046 Cz-house, a detached house, Pabianice
In the case of this design we had to deal with a plot whose the primary disadvantage was its location relative to the directions of the world. The plot entrance on the southern side is the worst possible, because this is the side where a house usually opens to the garden. This also raises the problem of ensuring privacy of the occupants. The solution to this problem is the key to the idea about the whole house. In this case it is the free-standing wall running for almost the full width of the plot, which forms an outdoor patio on the southern side of the house. A living room situated by a patio is perfectly illuminated and no one can look inside it from outside. Because this plot is also visible on the western side and a similar wall appeared there. Only on the eastern side where the plot is obscured by the wall of forest, the house opens directly to nature without the necessity of creating additional architectural barriers.
