A.059 SPA house, a detached house, Krakow
In the case of this location, we designed a house on the plot, which at first glance was not fit for purpose. The investor found a very narrow plot wedged in between two households, which was irregularly shaped and situated on a significantly inclined terrain throughout its entire length. The plan was to create a small house for a married couple with two children. Moreover, the owners wanted to obtain the best possible view while maintaining privacy. In addition, their dream was to have an outdoor swimming pool and a small SPA in the form of a sauna and jacuzzi. In this situation there was nothing else to do but design a narrow and high body of the building, containing a living zone at the ground floor level and bedrooms at the attic level. The outdoor swimming pool could only be built along the house, but to ensure the adequate level of privacy a concrete wall was built. This also allowed providing splendid illumination of the living zone on the neighbour’s side, while making it impossible to look inside the house. The last design activity was to use the terrain and location of the SPA underneath the terrace, which was protruded towards the garden and located on the ground floor. Such a location of SPA was hidden from the neighbours’ view while providing the best view on the plot.
