A.075 House with wine, a detached house with a wine cellar, Krakow
For a few years, on one of the slopes near Krakow our investor has prepared the proper grape variety from which ultimately several varieties of wine will be produced. The vineyard slowly begins to reach its production capacity, therefore it is high time the wine cellar was built. And the owner came to us with this task. He also wanted the wine cellar building to be connected to the residential house. Such a huge in terms of its dimensions design had to be properly embedded in the slope not to overwhelm the surroundings. Using the terrain, we proposed the solution in which the wine cellar is placed under the ground and the residential house is situated on top of it. From the driveway side you can only see a sizeable building that resembles a barn and is covered with burnt wood. Only from the vineyard side can you see the entire design.
